TOXINS

Questions about the product and procedures

Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Etc.. are neuromuscular blocking injectable drugs, which reduces the transmission of chemicals that tell muscles to move. When you apply Neurotoxins to facial muscles that cause your face to wrinkle, it can allow the skin to flatten out and smooth those wrinkles and lines.

Botox cosmetic is a purified protein, commonly called botulinum toxin type A. The effects of Botox were first studied in the 1960s. In 1989, the FDA gave clearance for botulinum type A to treat muscle spasms. Then, FDA clearance for cosmetic use was granted in 2002. Ever since then, millions of patients have been treated.

Tox can be used to smooth lines and wrinkles on a number of different facial areas, including the forehead, eyes, nose, and lips.

Some patients experience slight discomfort during the time of injection, but the pinching feeling goes away within seconds. It is possible for some redness, bruising, and swelling in the days afterwards, but any symptoms are usually resolved on their own within two weeks.

Results will vary for each patient, but it usually takes 3-5 days to see the effects of neurotoxins. For some, it may take up to 2 weeks to visualize full effects.

The cost of Botox depends on the number of units that are needed for your face. Units cost $14 each. For example, if your treatment requires 30 units for the desired outcome, it would cost roughly $420. An estimate of the number of units needed will be given during the initial consultation, but the final cost will depend on the actual amount needed during the procedure.

Dysport is $5 per unit and requires more units

Xeomin is $11 per unit and comparable to Botox

Neurotoxin usually last between 3-5 months, with results varying by patient. We recommend keeping up with routine maintenance by scheduling follow up appointments every 3-4 months.

There is no right or wrong age to start using tox. Patients will be evaluated by a medical professional before their treatment. Although these products can help smooth out lines and wrinkles, it cannot entirely eliminate them. Many clients who are older in age find that they really enjoy the results that neutoxins can give them, while younger clients like to utilize tox to help prevent many lines and wrinkles from ever forming. If you're unsure if these products are right for you, schedule a consultation today for us to talk!

Dermal Fillers

Questions about the product and procedures

Dermal fillers are cosmetic injections used to restore facial harmony by reducing or eliminating wrinkles, raising scar depressions and superficial fines lines, enhancing certain features, and replacing soft-tissue volume loss. Dermal fillers are made with a modified hyaluronic acid, or HA, which is a natural substance in the body that delivers volume to the skin.

Evolve Beauty Barr only uses Juvéderm®, as this is the premier and preferred dermal filler. This product adds volume and softens lines and wrinkles and is mostly used to enhance lip volume.

It is an FDA-approved hyaluronic acid facial filler that immediately restores lost volume to fine lines, wrinkles, and depressed areas of the skin. It attracts water from the surrounding tissues to cause a natural plumping effect once injected into the lips. Ideal for clients looking to:

  • Enhance and define the border of the lips and overall shape
  • Turn up the corners of the mouth
  • Correct asymmetries in the lip area and add volume

Juvéderm® injections usually last about one year, with results varying by patient. We recommend keeping up with routine maintenance by scheduling an annual appointment.

Some patients experience slight discomfort during the time of injection, but the pinching feeling goes away within seconds. It is possible for some redness and bruising in the days afterwards, but any symptoms are usually resolved on their own within a week.

Permanent Cosmetics

Questions about the products and procedures

This service is the process of implanting ink into the first layer of the skin, helping to create a fuller and richer look in your eyebrow or lips.

To help ensure that you are comfortable, a medical grade topical anesthetic will be applied before any services. However, some clients find that there is a light stinging sensation during the actual procedures, with limited redness, swelling, and sensitivity for the following 3-4 days.

Results will vary based on each client and the specific shade utilized, but most clients see results last for 1-3 years. However, it's important to stay on top of maintenance, so we recommend scheduling an annual touch-up appointment.

Colors will be customized and agreed upon before the procedure. It's important to note that the color will be bolder than usual for the first few days while it settles in.

Most clients find that they need to do a touch-up procedure about 4-6 weeks after the initial one. The price of this touch-up is included, and you can schedule your follow-up appointment about three weeks after your initial consultation.

IV Hydration Therapy

Questions about the products and procedures

IV Hydration Therapy is a common, low-risk procedure used by medical professionals to hydrate the body intravenously. It’s the fastest, most efficient way to distribute vital fluids and nutrients throughout the body.

Most clients find that there is an initial pinch when first injecting the needle, but this is temporary. Others have reported feeling a little cold during the procedure, so feel free to ask for a blanket!

Results will vary based on each client and the specific additives, but most procedures last about 45 minutes.

The additional vitamins and other additives will depend on the treatment you select. Check out our IV Hydration Therapy page to see exactly what is in each treatment. If you have additional questions about how these can help you, please feel free to reach out and ask!

Yes! Although many people like to make IV hydration therapy part of their normal wellness routine and schedule regular appointments.
